Several Questions

Dear all,
I have many questions, please help!
1.) If i use the backup/restore function in the IIS, does the backup
includes only the register and settings of web sites in the IIS only, or does
it include the file together?

2.) If i create a web sites have several hundred of static html pages,
however all the pages need to check whether the user is login or not , if
not, it will redirect to login page. For this, I think to create a aspx page
to chech whether the users is login or not and includes the aspx into all
html pages. HOWEVER, all the html pages need to change to aspx pages. I will
be very inconvenient, and all html page need to be aspx pages, All
suggestions to avoid to do this!

3.) If i create a virtual directory say http://localhost/webapplication1
then map the root of the IIS for the root http://localhost/ to
http://localhost/webapplication1
Then however, the websites can be access by http://localhost/index.htm or
http://localhost/webapplication1/index.htm also. How can avoid to be access
by http://localhost/webapplication1/index.htm

One idea would be to create a custom HttpHandler, which would handle all the
requests for .html pages, do the server-side logic, and then return the HTML
page requested. For more information, see:
