Site root folder issue

Hi

We have the html portion of our site in the site root folder on a remote
site hosted with a web hosting company. I am now trying to add some asp.net
bits to the site but in trying to keep these separate from the main site, I
have copied the asp.net files into a sub folder under the root. The problem
is that I am having problems with the web.config file when running the
asp.net main aspx page, as presumably the web.config file needs to be in the
root folder of a site. What is it that I can do? Should I ask my web hosting
company to set some settings to make asp.net files think that they are in
the root folder? Something else?

What specific error messages are you getting? Is the subfolder enabled
in IIS to be an ASP.NET Application?

I'm having some problems getting my latest aberration going, and I
believe that my problem is that I renamed a directory that was
enabled, and now it doesn't work. My ISP seems to have gone on holiday
or something, so I don't have any solid info yet ...
