Hi,
I am able to use DeviceSpecific control's HeaderTemplate and FooterTemplate
to create nice Header and Footer for a Mobile Form.
Now, I am trying to figure out how to create a Mobile User Control so that
I'm able to drag the Mobile User Control to any Mobile Web Forms. The Mobile
User Control should has a DeviceSpecific control like I mentioned above,
which consist of standard header and footer.
I have tried the following:
* In the Mobile User Control, I put a DeviceSpecific control into a Panel
control. This won't work as after I drag the user control into a form in my
normal Mobile Web Form, the form just show normal in IE as like without the
user control.
* In the Mobile User Control, I put a DeviceSpecific control in the blank
space. This won't work as VS.Net will tell me a DeviceSpecific control must
be place within a Form or Panel.
* In the Mobile User Control, I put a DeviceSpecific control into a Form.
This won't work because when later, I drag the mobile user control into a
form in my mobile web form. IIS will tell me that I have a nested form.
I found that when I right click on a DeviceSpecific control located in
normal Mobile Web Form and select Edit Template, I am able to edit
HeaderTemplete and FooterTemplete. But If I right click on a DeviceSpecific
control located in a Mobile User Control and select Edit Template, I can
only allow to edit ContentTemplete.
Does all these mean that there is no way to create a standard Header/Footer
for all Mobile Web Form (Other than coding them manually into all Mobile Web
Form)?
Thank you.
