    I'd like to learn more about java and programming it. Can somebody tell
    me how I can do that?

    Once you've downloaded the software, take a look at the Sun tutorial or get
    yourself a good book.

    The most commonly used books are:

    Deitel and Deitel
    Ivor Horton
    Bruce Eckel
    and, increasingly Head First Java.
