System audio Rendering and Capture

I am trying to figure out the javascript audio functions that will
allow me to pass
audio samples over to the Audio Out and acquire the samples from the
Audio In (eg.in mike).
All i see is a PlayFile function. Is this miserable function the only
one available in Javascript?

I hope so. I don't want anybody having open access to my mic.

Write your own ActiveX component if you must.
