writing to the IIS log

Is it possible to write your own lines to the IIS log? Weird question, I
know. Our reporting group pulls a bunch of data from those logs, and we
want to provide additional data on certain events. We've tried using
cookies and query string params, but that approach is lacking. It would be
great to have an app be able to add a line to the log stream while IIS is
running.

Look at "HttpResponse.AppendToLog(string param)".

We are able to add custom log information to the IIS log file with
HttpResponse.AppendToLog method, please refer to the MSDN documentation:
