Project Description:
Client is seeking an innovative, solutions oriented, senior level
Software Engineer to design, develop and implement transportation
applications residing on a J2EE applications platform. The selected
contractor will assume full responsibility for the application
architecture and act as a lead Java developer on all assigned
projects.
Qualified candidates must have:
• Eight (8) years of proven experience designing, developing, and
deploying complex n-tier systems.
• Seven (7) years experience with JAVA (version 1.4 or higher).
• Five (5) years experience with Oracle RDMS (version 9i or higher).
• Five (5) years experience with J2EE development.
Desirable Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of SQL.
• Strong understanding of Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Data
Modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of networking and network protocols, design
patterns, hardware scaling and distributed systems.
• Hardware and software tuning experience.
• Experience designing software systems for hosted environments.
• Understanding of issues related to business logic in stored
procedures vs. middle tier.
• Experience with web page templating frameworks in J2EE.
• Ability to accurately document and model the "As Is" and "To Be"
architecture.
• Ability to design, architect, and guide the implementation of high-
end, scalable, robust web based applications and solutions using
combinations of the following:
• Java, J2EE, UML, JSF, Struts, Spring, Top Link, Hibernate, JSP, SQL,
