In VS.NET 2003, when I add new controls, e.g. Panel, to my user control the corresponding member in the code behind never gets a value assigned to it! I've tried deleting those members and forcing VS.NET to recreate them, still no good. I restarted VS.NET, still no good
Plus, if I try to make an HtmlControl, e.g. table, a server-side control, it doesn't show up either
Is there some log file that VS.NET writes its errors to that I can look into?
I've even tried finding the control explicitly using the FindControl(string) method, and THAT RETURNS NULL TOO
Any ideas or pointers is very helpful.
