Can I Get at Repeater Data?

I have a functioning repeater properly displaying data on my page. My question is, how do I get to that data in a VB script block or code-behind? I'd like to programmatically do some things on other parts of the page based upon that data.

A working example of the RepeaterItemCollection.CopyTo method or something similar would be helpful. I'm clearly a .net dumbass. I've been dreading my company's switch from Classic ASP to asp.net, and now I know why. It's difficult to wrestle .net into giving you the client-side code that you want. I just want to nest a couple of loops to display some data...easy enough w/ VBS. The nested repeater examples I find are disgusting to me.
