Client side validation

When using CustomValidator, I write own ClientValidationFunction instead of
server side. I also use the Validation
Summary object and "ShowMessageBox" in FALSE. How to control the displayed
message in client side javascript?
I needs to detect some condition in client-side and then change the display
message to be displayed. Thanks.
