fedex shipping gem question

Hi,

I'm using the Shipping gem (with FedEx). When I try to generate a
shipping label on a Sunday (or holiday), I get a response back from
FedEx saying that there's no pickup available on a Sunday or a
Holiday. Well, duh.

Does my application need to be aware of Sundays and Holidays and
request a different ship date if the current day is one of those?

That, or just deal with the error message by picking another day. Or
both.

Disclaimer: I haven't used that gem.
