freeimage?

The freeimage package [1] apparently used to have python bindings [2],
but for reasons unexplained these were removed [3]. A google groups
search reveals one person trying to SWIG the recent src, but not
getting any love[4].

Anyone know of python wrappers for the freeimage library?
