Hello, I'm working on a website that will include jsp, servlets, and
other java components and access a MySQL DB.

Does anyone know of a good webhost that provides support for this? I
did a search and I saw alot of hosts that mentioned php and .net but
hardly any that mentioned java. I am not sure if this is because it's a
given that they all support java or if it could be that hardly any do.
I would "suspect" it's the former but want to make sure.

Yea, I know the feeling. I was running my website off of my machine
until my ISP started to filter out all of the unsolicited IP requests to
my machine. I was not allowed to run servers off of my machine on my ISP
network. So I had to look for a Host.

There are no Free JSP Hosting sites that I could find. There is not much
out there as opposed to PHP\MySQL. I did see a few. I was going to try
JavaServletHosting.com http://www.javaservlethosting.com

Here is a list
http://www.jspin.com/home/jspwebho/hostingr

a Google for 'JSP web hosting' brings up a few.

Long story short. For me, I went with a free PHP\MySQL free host. I
convert some of my Jsp\Servlet app to PHP running out of PMWiki for now.

Thanks in Advance...

http://www.kattare.com is the best.

Awesome company, the only time they have been down was due to a snow
storm and that was 4 years ago and they were down for 30 minutes. You
can start with a small inexpensive account (Tomcat, personal JVM,
mySQL/Postgres, POP3/SMTP) and you can expand as your needs grow
(JBoss, Dedicated Server, etc.)

I have taken on customers who had their own ISPs, but sucked. I
transferred them over to kattare, and all their problems evaporated.
