Request.Form("field_name") no longer use in ASP.NET?

I want to confirm if Request.Form("field_name") no longer use in ASP.NET?
Since we can just use TextBox1.Text to get the value from the user.

Please advise! Thanks!

You can use Page.FindControl("controlname")
