Swing frames with user editable labels and text-fields

Hello, I want to write a Java/Swing application that should allow the
user to hide/show, resize or move the label and text-field components
that I used in the design of the frames.
The properties of those components (size, position, hidden) will be
stored in a database on a per user basis and if
an user for example doesn't need the info of some field he simply
should be able to hide it.

Since I'm new to Java/Swing programming I would like to ask if someone
knows some good references with examples on how to realize this idea.
