Using ruby-serialport to connect to a printer

Hello all!

Does anyone know if there any API documentation for the ruby-
serialport lib?

I'm trying to use it to connect to a Zebra ZPT500 printer on Linux
(and Windows) in order to send raw ZPL instructions to it, but I'm not
sure what *params to pass and I didn't find much documentation / API
docs for the ruby-serial library. I'm not really into bit-level
programming, so If someone could enlighten-me I would be really
grateful!
