Can someone please reply me regarding CHECKBOXLIST QUESTION!

Its written that the ListItem.Selected returns TRUE or FALSE as Boolean
Value.
But when i select a CheckBoxList it returns TRUE when selected. But when
nothing is selected it returns Nothing(I meani don't see FALSE!)
But iwht CheckBox it returns both when i use the CHECKED property.
Is there a way for CheckBoxList to return FALSE to the screen I MEAN to
PRINT out FALSE!!!!
