Hi All,
I'm looking into creating a python script to capture IP addresses with timestamps(and possibly throughput if it's feasible), using tcpdump, on a network bridge which sits between my router and modem. Then gather geo location data about each IP from a service such as freegeoip.live. Then move the data into influx via telegraf or to prometheus to eventually display in grafana on a map.
I've got all the hardware to do this but I'm just trying to work out how feasible the python script is?
