Can some one tell me how he has draw lines here.. is it a trick done using
DIV/ CSS or using the graphic lib..

I also have asked to develop some thing similar.. I have some idea about how
to go about here.. but performance wise and also cross browser compliancy
wise I have some concerns.. can some one shoot couple of hints for me to
correctly position myself..

High level tips should do well..

Thanks

If you turn of CSS, you'll see it all collaps without lines, so, yes...it's
a CSS solution.

The easiest way to see what they did is to get the Firefox Web Developer
toolbar. There's an option to outline all block level items.

You'll notice that each pairing of teams is attached to a particulr div. The
div has a border applied to 3 sides, and then the two drop downs are
positioned relative to that div.

It's not perfect, as you'll notice that if you start enlarging the fonts on
the page, things begin to fall apart, but it's still fairly clever.

Click Outline, DIV elements - you'll see that the DIVs use borders...

Click Find, Select Element by Click, and click on one of the DIVs - in the
Current Style pane, you can see how the border style has been set up...
