field - focus() makes it active but no cursor..

Hi All,

I have a text field and I use Javascript to focus() on it.. but no
cursor appears in the field and when you type, no text appears in the
field.

I can tell via document.activeElement that field I want is the active
one.

Any ideas on this?

A) Error on OSI Layer 8.
B) The field is read-only.
C) The UA is borken.

Although frequent top-posting might indicate that, this isn't a quiz show.
