Hashtable Property - Disabled at Design Time?

Discussion in 'ASP .Net Web Controls' started by Kevin Williams, Sep 26, 2003.

  1. I have a public property on my control of type Hashtable. When I
place this control on a web form at design time and try to edit the
values for this property, the "Object Collection Editor" window pops
up, but everything is disabled and I cannot add members to the
hashtable. I just want this property to be a set of name/value pairs
where both the name and value are strings.

Is there another way to do this that doesn't require me to write my
own design-time property editing interface? I think the normal
collection editor should suffice for my purposes...

    Thanks,
