Helper function inside template column

Hi,

I need help with some c# syntax. I'm trying to call a
helper function from within a datagrid template column.
In VB.NET i'd do:

<%# Helper(Container.DataItem("item")) %>

However in c# I'm getting a bunch of syntax errors. Can
someone point in the right direction please?
