how do i add dialog boxes in visual c++

hi,
i am modifying a visual c++ program that has a bunch of dialog boxes stacked together, and i want to add another one to the list. But when i do that, the dialog box i create doesn't get attached to the main program. Can someone please tell me the steps i need to follow in order to make the main program recognize this dialog box.
