The Artist Formerly Known as Kap'n Salty
I thought this might be of some interest here, and I could use some
browser-compatibility testing so I thought I'd repost.
I have a teloperable robot controllable from the web via a javascript
front-end. So far, the JS front end seems compatible with most browsers
I've tested with, but I don't have results yet for the latest versions
of IE, Safari, Opera, etc. If you'd like, stop by:
http://robot.swampgas.com:8081
and give it a try. While the robot supports single-user control, the
current mode is free-for all, meaning everyone logged in can issue
commands. You can use the chat window to coordinate, if you'd like.
The robot is up generally from 8AM-6PM US CST (GMT-5), and offline for
charging the rest of the time.
The interface is highly preliminary, a little cheesy, and subject to
change, but I'd like to get a baseline feel for both browser
compatibility on the front end and general stability of the back-end
control daemon (BotD).
Ultimately, I'll release both front and back ends under a BSD or GPL
license. Feel free to de-obfuscate my reply address and email any
comments back to me (or post here).
Thanx in advance -- tAfkaks
