JMX on Tomcat4.1

Anyone know how to connect to Tomcat 4.1 JMX Server running under JDK
1.4. I see that MBeanServer is started "Created MBeanServer with ID:
cdb06e:10e7d07daa4:-8000:a6-8:1", but I don't see the port 1099
listening even though I set these properties in jk2.properties

mx.enable=true
mx.jrmpPort=1099
mx.jrmpHost=localhost

Is it possible to use the latest MX4J 3.0.2 on Tomcat 4.1 and use
JSR160 connection.
