JPG images do not load after update

After installing some updates for Windows and IE8 the JPG images no
longer seem to get loaded - it used to be fine before -
we use one such image on the frontpage and its absent: http://kubes.nl/

Does anyone know what is going on?
Is there a solution?

Never mind it was caused by having empty height and width attributes:
<img src="img.jpg" alt="Gids" height="" width="">

IE is the only browser that doesn't like that I guess,
still strange that it did so only after a update.
But it might have been a coincidence for all I know.
