Whats the Perl var that holds the directory file seperator, IE "/" or
"\"

Is there one that holds the dot character? Usually "."
as in perl.exe

I think you want to use File::Spec if you are trying to form file paths in
a platform independent manner.
Is there one that holds the dot character? Usually "."
as in perl.exe
