Looking for very simple document DTD

I would like to write simple, yet well structured documents with a
really simple XML DTD (or schema). Either Docbook or SDocbook are
overkill for this simple case.

XHTML is simpler, but unstructured (no nested sections). And is not
really very simple.

Before trying to setup a stripped-down document format by myself, I
would like to know if there are simple XML document structure proposals
ready to be used (I dislike to reinvent the wheel). A Google search has
found nothing (only a lot of references to SDF, a non-XML Perl
documentation toolkit).

Does anybody knows some simple, well structured document schemas?

Thanks,

Here's the one I've been using for the last 5+ years. XSLT for
generating HTML also attached. Using a DTD-directed editor, such as
XED [1], makes for very easy authoring.

Thanks, a lot!
