New to Java Me CDC

Hi,

I am new to Java ME arena. I wanted to develop platform independent
application of high-end mobile devices.

I selected NetBeans as my IDE and able to download personal profiles
from Nokia and Sony Ericsson. But i can't find Foundation profile. The
sun website mentioned RICOH can provide Foundation profile but need
login to premium account to get benefit from it.

Should i leave CDC platform and go for CLDC.

Your quick suggestions are welcome.

IBM has a Java VM with Personal Profile 1.1 (+FP and PBP) available for
download with no restrictions. The licence is about 20$. The former name was
J9, now it is called Websphere Everyplace Micro Edition. It also has nice
Eclipse integration via J9 plugin from Eclipse.
