    Hi,

    How can I ask the IMAP server which messages have been added or
    modified i.e. flags changed since my last sync? Or do I have to recurse
    through all the Messages and check myself?

    Thanks

    Recurse through the folders and use:

    Folder.hasNewMessages() / Folder.getNewMessageCount(),
    Folder.getMessageCount(), Folder.getUnreadMessageCount()
