Resolving global assembly references

C

chris

I'm trying to reference a global assembly in the global web.config
file. Although I can reference a specific version assembly just fine,
when I replace the assembly with a newer version, I have to manually
adjust the version in the global web.config file. Is there a way to
automatically select the newest version of an assembly without
requiring an update to the assembly reference in the web.config file
every time a new update is delivered?

Thanks in advance for any input on the subject.
