restarting the session

Hello!

when the session expires and the session variables start having null, i am
supposed to abandon the session and redirect back, so a new session is
started.

it doesn't work.

the browser has to be physically closed down and restarted. the web server
does not start a new session no matter what i try.

is there an elegant way to restart a new session and refresh the page
without restarting the browser?

I suppose you could monkey around with some cookie code that would actually
delete the particular session cookie in the browser.
Aside from that, "no".
