Sample of printing on MacOS X 10.2

I am trying to add printing to my application, and I cannot even get the
Java tutorial sample code to work (ShapesPrint). All the dialogues pop
up as they should, but the resulting pdf file or printout is empty.
everything works fine on Windows 2000.

Has anybody got a sample printing code that they have tested on MacOS X
10.2 that they could send to me?

Some further testing reveals that the printing works on java
1.3.1_03-74, but not on 1.4.1_01.

i also have the same problem , it will work on windows but not on mac, and
yes the code is the same in java.

check your dump log or crash log, for osx.

I filed a bug with apple 6 months ago where java was crashing out of printing
/ pdf generation. & they are 'looking at it'

and no it does not put up a crash window like it should.

I now use 10.3 and java 1.4.2, and still nothing printed.

define "nothing is printed" and i might be able to help you.

does it mean:

1. "nothing is printed"
2. An empty "pdf" file is generated that you can preview.
3. you get a class exception error and java gives you an error message
4. the mac de-bugger asks you if you want to send the crash report to apple.
5. your printer spools out a blank piece of paper.
6. there is an error in "log list" visible from the "console" application.

if the answer is 1. then go away, and clearly define the problem.
try to remember i am 3,000km away.
