SystemC : Can a CS student do it?

Hello :

Im a student majoring in C.S and I was wondering ,whether the project
on SystemC is do-able by me.As Im not too aware of too much of
Electronics , I would be grateful if anyone could tell me , If a
software guy like me, could handle a project like SystemC.
