Unable to attach XML datasource to a dropdownlist

Any leads on how to attach xmldatasource to a dropdownlist as I am getting
this exception again and again, even though it works using xpath for
repeater control.

'System.Web.UI.WebControls.XmlDataSourceNodeDescriptor' does not contain a
property with the name 'name'
