Vertical Datagrid

Hi,
Is it possible to have a datagrid that has the results displayed
verically, Ie the headers are down the left side. I have a page that
displays the summary of all results in a datagrid, I then have a
hyperlinkcolumn that links to a detailed page for the selected item. It is
this page that I want to have as a verically layed out datagrid. I also want
to be able to edit different fields based on who is logged into the site.
The user information is stored retrived as part of the code behind page.

I recently wanted to do the same thing. What i did, was to write a sproc in
the database (SQL Server here) which would flip the actual table results.
Then i was able to use the plain dbgrid.
Dont know if that would help you.
