I am getting an error dialog when trying to create a new Web application
project on our Web server using VS.Net 2003. So I'm developing on one
machine trying to push out to a Web server on our network. I get an
error dialog that indicates: Web Access Failed.
The default Web access mode for this project is set to a file share, but
the project folder at http://ServerName/ServerName
InetPub/WWWroot/Companyname/WebApplication1 cannot be opened with the
path '\\ServerName\WWWroot$\ServerName
InetPub\WWWroot\companyName\WebApplication1' The error returned was
Unable to create Web Project 'ServerName
InetPub/WWWroot/CompanyName/WebApplcaition1' The UNC Share
'\\ServerName\WWWroot$\ServerName
InetPub\WWWroot\CompayName\WebApplication1 does not exist or you do not
have access.
Now when I try this path from the Start > Run in Windows, I open this
folder on the Web site just fine. Help appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank
