When Amending A Page, Delegate Hookup Lost

When I'm changing a 1.1 page, sometimes I remove a control but its
declaration remains in the code-behind. Other times I add a control and no
declaration is inserted and sometimes the Page_Load delegate hookup
disappears. Am I doing something wrong?

Jeb,

After adding a control in Html View you need to switch to Design View to
ensure updating declarations in code-behind.

Losing events is a known problem. For this reason I prefer declaring events
explicitly in the <asp:...> tags.
