where is cookie saved ?

I just learned that so I wanted to reply.

if you are using in-proc then it is stored in C:\Documents and
Settings\UserName\Cookies on the client machine.

If you are using state server then it is on the server either by server
memory or MS SQL database.

In the case of a Session cookie, it remains in memory and is not written to
disk.
