ASP.NET Mail Merge Deployment

I am doing a mail merge into a word document (Office XP) in ASP.NET and
VB.NET. I have yet to deploy it to the server, because I am afraid of
it messing up the server. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions to
make it a smooth deployment and ensure that it will work?
