Datagrid custom control feature query

Hi,
I have a user control in which i am creating dynamically a datagrid control, with the given dataset.
But now I would like to add features to edit.
I do not have any edittemplates in place.

Can anyone give me good pointers or example on this one? Sure many might be using dynamically displaying colums, editing colums with many other features.

Like what type of edit control need to be displayed, etc etc.
Hope to find some good sample or pointers.
