Determine image dimensions/position on a form

Hi.

Is there a way to determine the position (top, left) and dimensions (width,
height) of a an image on a form?

Our app lets users embed image files from a library folder by specifying
their url's. After an image has been selected, the form needs to return its
dimension and position to the user.

Has anyone attempted this before?
