Is there any functional or contextual difference between
elemRef.firstChild and elemRef.nextSibling ? From MDC I did not get any.

elemRef.firstChild is the first child node, i.e., the first of the nodes
contained in the element referred to by elemRef.

elemRef.nextSibling is the next sibling of elemRef, i.e., the next
child node of elemRef.parentNode.

In particular:
elemRef.firstChild.parentNode == elemRef
elemRef.nextSibling.parentNode == elemRef.parentNode

Got it! Thank you!
