Get clicked column index

Hi All
I am looking for a way to get clicked sorted column ID
When I click on header it fires sorted command then I want to add icon next
to the header but I do not know hot to het clicked column Id.
I know that I can use attributes to support this numbers manually but maybe
I can do this somehow without it.
