Hide/Disable connection point while deriving from WebPart?

Hi all,

i'm creating a WebPart wich derives from an existing WebPart. My question:
is it possible, to hide an connection point (a method with
ConnectionProvider or ConnectionConsumer attribute), wich exists on the base
WebPart, so that it can't be used in the derived WebPart.
