localizing Flash messages

I am running the Localize plugin without any problem... all strings get
translated
but
if I validate forms data, the error messages are still in plain
English.. , is there any way to overrides them ?

in my model owner.rb, i can write an option, 
validates_presence_of
:last_name, :home_city, :home_phone, :message => "- information
obligatoire"
but if any error the user get :
3 errors prohibited this owner from being saved
There were problems with the following fields:
Home city - information obligatoire
Home phone - information
obligatoire
Last name - information obligatoire

any way to handle that correctly ?
