Problem with IIS....Please help

I just upgraded from Windows XP Home to Professional and
am trying to work with the Microsoft Management Console.
I go to run the Console and after putting in my root path
when I try to open iis.msc the Console freezes.
I am struggling to find an answer as to why I cannot open
the console. If anyone has advice or can lead me to where
I can get help with this matter it would be greatly
appreciated.

try to change the port of your IIS usually it use the port 80 change it to
8090
