Publish a web project onto a remote server

Is it possible to pulish a web project onto a server like dreamweaver using
ftp and such....

sure.....
just copy up all the ASPX (and any other client callable files) and the
/bin/*.dll files.

I do this all the time with xcopy to publish the dev files to the test
server
