Render a custom control inside a specific placeholder

Hi.
I do a custom control and it works fine.
But now, I need to render it in a placeholder. This placeholder will be pass
to the custom control by an property.
I test something here, catch the correct placeholder on the page and when
the render method of the custom control will run I got this error:


A value of type 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.PlaceHolder' cannot be
serialized.


Someone know how can I do that?

Really, I were not so clear.
But what am I really need is what you wrote, pass the ID of the placeholder.
I tried it and worked.
