(soft) real-time transfer

Hello
I have problem (really I have no idea) with communcation between client and server (client=host with web browser, server with SQL). In DB are float variables (changing very quickly - 0.5sec. or faster) and value of this variables I need showing on webpage. How can I do this with XML using?
